2023 Young Woman Competition

Congratulations to Amy Kermode (Senior) and Amber Macpherson (Junior) who were the winners of the 2022 Walcha Young Woman competition conducted at the Walcha Show, 11-12 March 2022. Thank you to our judges Janelle Archdale, Clem O'Gorman and Jenny Millner who were so impressed with the maturity and overall presentation of both girls. Amy and Amber both displayed a great knowledge of the issues facing rural NSW and are both very involved within our community. The judges commented that Amy and Amber are both young women with purpose and ambition and are great ambassadors for Walcha! February 2023 will see Walcha Show Society hosting the Zone 4 finals for the Young Woman Competition and where Amy will compete against women from northern and north-western NSW to become one of the finalists to go on to the Sydney Royal Young Woman of the Year competition.
